A mixed-use waterfront neighborhood called Dubai Maritime City lies on an artificial peninsula between Port Rasheed and Dubai Dry Docks, 3 kilometers from Sheik Zayed Road and 10 kilometers from Dubai International Airport. The plan, which was first introduced in 2004 before being suspended and reintroduced in 2009, will feature apartments, residential plots, offices, commercial plots, hotels, hotel serviced apartments, and a marina with 1,000 berths. The first maritime museum in the country is also part of the master plan. A list of available off-plan projects appears below.
